We recently had the privilege to review Artistic Pursuits art curriculum. (Yay) I'm not gonna lie, I love art and I was anxiously awaiting our review material. (hee hee) I have several artistically creative children that take after momma so this was a treat to have this review. :)
First in the mail we received a letter with the art supply list from the vendor. I was able to look the list over and see what we needed to buy that we did not have. Thankfully I had most everything listed on the list but 4 or 5 things. With in a few days later, we received the Artistic Pursuits Early Elementary K-3 Book Three: Modern Painting and Sculpture. (squeaks)
This particular material retails for $47.95
When I mentioned to the kiddo's that we had the art material, they immediately replied with cheers and shouts, Can we start now?
Listen, I mean to tell you my kids love their art.
It's serious business in this house. Lol!
On a brighter note, what child wouldn't love creative, messy, fun work! :)
How we used the book: Well, we obviously got a lot out of the book, with a love for art. In the front of the book it notes the contents of this particular material. It also has a copy of the supply list of things you will need for this particular book. Super!
There is a briefing before the first lesson that explains how to use this curriculum. Each lesson starts out with a brief and I mean a brief piece of history and explanation of each lesson.
Short and sweet, just the way we love it. On to the art fun.
My kids first day in painting with the first lesson, Haha, boy were they interesting pictures.. Painting with Gouache and observation of what or whom they seen. For some reason I was the topic that day but well minus one of my daughters who chose to paint a gator boy. Lol!
(pictures are sideways, sorry)
Yes, We had a blast with our art material!
While we were only asked to review at least 4 or more lessons, We are still moving along and doing this whole book. We cant' put it down! As I mentioned before, We love art. Haha!
I do recommend this art material. I have not used any other material from this vendor, however, I do plan on using this again in the future. These lessons are easy and brief and fun.
