From the BBC series, is episode ONE of “The Story of Electricity”, a three-part documentary relating the history and impact of electricity on our lives. In this episode, “Shock and Awe” Jim Al-Khalili tells how the first ‘natural philosophers’ began to unlock electricity’s mysteries, studying its curious link to life and building instruments to create it.
This is extremely well-done History, Science & Social Studies material, and full of cool stuff that will fascinate middle school and older students. This is a 1 hour long, streamed youtube video. All 3 Episode are noted below.
