About Reading Kingdom:
This program is an online reading course that is available for use in school systems or at home to help teach children to read and or help them learn to read better.  This is designed for children ages 4-10 (PreK-3rd grades) and for struggling readers who would read at one of these levels.

The Reading Kingdom Benefits:
  • Research based and incredibly effective.
  • The program adapts to every child and provides individualized instruction.
  • Kids can use the program on their own.
  • It's fun so children think they're playing a game and want to use it.
  • It was created by Dr. Marion Blank, one of the world's top experts in reading.
  • It works as a standalone curriculum or a supplement.

This program was created by Dr. Marion Blank.  When you get to the site you can sign up for a 30 day free trial. After the trial is over, it is only $19.99 per month or $199.99 per year for the first child with each child after costing an additional $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year.  You can also purchase other materials to use with this program, however it is not required. To learn more please visit Reading Kingdom.  You can also find several free online resources, extra worksheets and sample pages, activities, apps, books, games, and learning tips.  This is an intensive program which requires your child to work at their own pace but to do so on a regular basis.  It is recommended that they work
on this daily for 4-5 days a week so that they can continue to progress.

This program teaches the following:

  • Reading and Writing
  • Working on sequencing
  • Motor skills
  • Sounds
  • Meanings
  • Grammar
  • Comprehension.
The great thing about this program is that it is customized for each child, individually.

Below you can see some sample screen shots.

What we received:
Our review crew received a full subscription online for up to 3 members of our family to use.

Our thoughts about this program:

During this review time we have truthfully not been able to review this program daily like we had expected to. (I'm sorry) Being summer and this year there were some new local educational events going on that we ended up being able to attend. We also had a few unexpected emergency circumstances come up that needed full attention. However, amidst all of this, we were still able to log in quite a few times    just not daily, to check out this program. (This date jumped up on me quicker then expected unfortunately.)

At first I had a hard time scoping this program out once I got logged in. Mainly because we needed to wait on the administer to update our profile. No biggy, that did not take long at all. Other wise, this program is super easy to use and follow. As I noted above we were unable to use this program daily, but what we did use, my 8 yo seemed pretty involved and interested in what she was doing. My other two who was supposed to be added on, somehow were not added to use, again no biggy, they sat along the side watching her when she was able to get logged on. Now that things are settling and we are actually getting back on schedule and moving forward from where we left off, I do plan to continue where we left off on this program. From what we were able to use, it held my daughters interest, she seemed to enjoy what she was doing and we will definitely keep using this. I do recommend at least trying the trial version to see for yourself how this program works and see if it is for your child(ren).

I do apologize to the vendor for not being able to fully review this program, however, I plan on updating this post later on to better offer my thoughts on this program once we have fully used this program.
