Our review for YWAM Publishing, YWAM is the publishing side of the organization Youth With A Mission. You can learn more about the organization in this attached link: http://www.ywam.org. Through there books students learn about positive leadership and their roles in history and life experiences. Their books are based off of the lives of men and women in our nations history.
The book we received is from the series Christian Heroes: Then & Now, and the title is Christian Heroes- C.S. Lewis, Master Story Teller. The book follows the real life adventures of Clive Staples Lewis, from early childhood in 1898 to death in 1963. The years he spent in boarding school, his college years and afterward through his adult years. The book shares about is relationship with family, life changing circumstances, world adventures, the affect of War on his life, his worldly view and becoming a Christian and how all of this influenced the writings by C.S. Lewis. We started out reading this aloud but my daughter asked to individually read it because that is how she likes to read books. We have used the YWAM material in the past and enjoy their reading materials and we would recommend using their materials.
YWAM Publishing has offered our crew titles from one of their two series Christian Heroes: Then & Now which covers the history time frame of 1700 to 1960 and Heroes of History which is about the life changes various men and women experienced to help shape our nations history. Titles are written by Janet and Geoff Benge. They offer their series in book form, single titles or boxed sets. They also have some material in audio version. Here are just a few of the titles our crew will be reviewing:
