New Liberty Videos Review

We reviewed for New Liberty Videos recently. Our review crew was given one video via mail to review. The videos that are being reivewed by our crew are:

New Liberty Videos is family owned business that is founded by Brian Barkley. He worked in Hollywood for 40+ years as a television editor and now he is dedicated to producing Christian documentary DVDs. 
We recieved the Mysteries of the Dead Sea Scrolls.  The dvd is 60 minutes in length and covers three basic topics: Dead Sea Scrolls ● Hebrew Word Pictures ● The Forbidden Book. The Mysteries Dead Sea Scrolls DVD is $19.95 not including s/h. This video is for genreal audience. Although there is no age range, I would suggest it for middle and high school age students and up. 
The Mysteries of the Dead Sea Scrolls has 3 different speakers. Joel Lampe covers the Dead Sea Scrolls, Dr. Frank Seekins speaks on Hebrew Word Pictures and Dr. Craig Lampe speaks on The Forbidden Book.  
The Dead Sea Scrolls is about the 19,000 pieces of scrolls that were recovered, how they were discovered and how with using technology they were able to piece them back together. Joel explains why the scrolls were abandoned in the Caves of Qumran using history and geography through his explanation. This one was very interesting, very full of details. Held my attention because it was like a puzzle being worked back together.
The Hebrew Word Pictures with Dr. Frank Seekins was also interesting. He discusses Ancient Hebrew and the Hebrew Language and how every words meaning can be illustrated through pictures that show truth found through out scripture.
Last, Dr. Craig Lampe covers the Forbidden Book. He speaks on how the Bible was brought to the world in the dark ages. John Wycliffe, Martin Luther and William Tyndale are prime examples of men obeying God and bringing scripture to a world full of superstition and ingnorance. 
Again this dvd is full of historical information. Some of which went way over mine and my 16 yo head. Very detailed and interesting but some areas ya feel like they are a bit winded in details. I like that they use scenes, slides or other visual illustrations to bring to life their findings. Wow! That is a lot of information to retain and because it is so much it did lose me personally at times. Though it is still a good dvd.
